Winter Boots for any Budget

Winter Boots for any Budget

As a transplant living in Florida, I don’t have the need for real winter boots…until I go back “home” for the holidays! Even though I typically only see snow once a year, depending on if we head back to Michigan or Kansas, it is still miserable to be unprepared and end up with wet and freezing feet! Regular boots just don’t cut it!

Growing up, my family went snowmobiling in the winter and I wore Sorel or Merrell boots (well known brands in the North and Midwest). They’re totally worth the money if you live somewhere that actually gets snow! However, I didn’t see the need to spend $200 or even $100 on waterproof snow boots that I may only use once a year. Luckily, I found a huge selection of snow boots online that will do the job at less than half the price! Additionally, I included the higher-end brands in case you’ll be getting a lot more use out of your snow boots. ;) Can you tell which ones are which just by looking at them?

I just bought these boots! We aren’t heading anywhere snowy for the holidays this year, but I’ll be prepared the next time I’m faced with the cold white stuff. ;)

Fun fact for all my native warm-climate friends reading this: Even in lower Michigan it would typically start snowing in October and the last big snow was usually mid-April. But, at our cabin in the U.P., there is often still snow on the ground in May. That’s right, 8 months of snow! Ya better have some good boots! LOL

Sending Sunshine,

Jessica
