The Best Throw Pillow Inserts That Never Need to be Re-Poofed!
This post is in partnership with Lo Home. As always, all opinions are my own. Thank you for supporting brands that support House Full of Summer!
First of all, "re-poofed" is a word. At least in my house it is. Let me explain...
I thought I knew what love was. But I was wrong! For years I've been saying the only pillow inserts I like are down-filled, but they have now been demoted to my second favorite type of pillow insert. And quite frankly, they don't even compare. They're chopped liver. Thanks to Lauren of Lauren Haskell Designs and her new online shop, LoHome, I now have a new favorite pillow insert and I cannot rave about them enough!
The new inserts showed up folded over and squished into boxes. I was certain I would have to fluff and pat them back into shape and was a tad concerned about how they would look. Boy was I WRONG!
Once I opened the packaging, they bounced right out and assumed the perfect shape. They easily fit into the covers from LoHome and really fill out the entire thing! I was so impressed that I went to find my husband as he was heading out to run some errands and tossed him the pillow. His whole face lit up and he smiled and said, "This is MY pillow now". Haha, I think NOT! His reaction was priceless and really all you need to know about how amazing these pillows are, but just in case you're still not convinced that these are the most amazing pillows ever, allow me to elaborate!
- These inserts are made from innovative, durable faux down fibers that glide over themselves for zero clumping and long-lasting luxurious plumpness. Oh yes, these babies are PLUMP, indeed!
- They are hypoallergenic and cruelty-free. In other words, no goose bums were plucked in the making of these pillows!
- They are extra dense and contain a high volume fill for the always perfect karate-chop!
- Into low maintenance? This is the pillow for you. Just wash on cold, tumble dry on low and fluff as needed. Can you believe it? You can wash the whole thing!
- Covers are a high thread count poly/cotton blend that is soft, flexible, and breathable.
- These pillows are patriotic! All fibers and covers are 100% made in the USA!
After obsessing over my new pillows, I couldn't help but wonder what it would be like if our bed pillows were this squishy and kept their shape, too. To my delight, Lauren has added Standard, Queen, and King sizes and they're now available for pre-order, shipping out the first week of September. I have pre-ordered two and cannot wait to get them!
Did I mention they're also affordable and actually less expensive than many big brands online and they feel WAY better!
Now queue the drum roll, because what I'm about to tell you could be life-changing...are you ready? They're freaking husband and kid proof, aka completely squish-proof! I know, because I made my husband try them out. An actual test took place in our family room and we were both overjoyed at the results! These have been "squish-tested" and they are APPROVED by this happy wife! You hardly have to re-poof them after they are sat on. Not kidding! What a miracle. No more sad, pathetic looking pillows crammed into the cracks of our couch. No more shouting "poof those pillows!" every time my husband devastates my beautifully arranged and plumped cushions then leaves the room without a care in the world. I can't be the only one seriously impressed and excited by this. Right!?
I'm thinking about completely replacing the inserts from my (enormous) throw pillow collection with these inserts from LoHome. I have been constantly re-fluffing and poofing throw pillows for YEARS on our sectional after my husband stuffs 7 of them behind his back for lumbar support. I'm over it. Out with the chopped liver, in with the new magical squish-proof inserts! Try them out and let me know how much you love them too!
I'll leave with you a few snaps of Summer saying hello and also a quick note about the unfinished foyer styling in the background. I am working with Lo Home on some absolutely beautiful updates to this space! I think it will be ready to show you just in time for fall! Stay tuned!
