Pool Bathroom Addition Design

If you came here from the “Ranch Home Back Porch Addition” post, welcome! Now you know that this pool bath was part of that project. We thought the added cost of the outdoor bathroom was worth it since we didn’t want wet bodies traipsing through our house to the hall bathroom. There have been quite a few times that I went running up to the pool bath as soon as we docked our boat because it was just too cold to get in the water! :D I love the accessibility!

Ranch Home Back Porch Addition

After 5 months of a complete interior renovation, we began to tackle the exterior of our home, along with the backyard. Since so many projects were overlapping, it really was a LOT on my plate for several months last year! After our new bulkhead and dock had been built, we started on the pool and back porch addition, along with an outdoor bathroom, at the same time. You’ll see why that was necessary in a moment.

Modern Pool Design Plans

I’m excited to finally share our pool design plans with you! If you’ve followed along on Instagram stories, I have shared quite a bit of my pool design inspiration, as well as the color dilemma that was JUST resolved in the nick of time!! That’s such a relief after feeling totally lost and unsettled about some of the most important decisions I had to make regarding this pool. So now that I have some space in my head for anything other than pool tiles and plaster color, I’ll start from the beginning of our pool building process.

Blue & White Poolside Retreat

It’s definitely pool season in Florida and I’m sure the rest of northern hemisphere will be enjoying pool weather very soon if they aren’t already! Speaking of time by the pool, I just received the most perfect little additions to help create our blue and white poolside retreat from Serena & Lily!

How We Turned Our Boring Backyard Into Our Own Little Slice of Paradise

I realized at the very last minute that my husband and I were approaching FOUR years since the day we moved into our home! Since today is our four year “home ownerversary” I decided this would be a great opportunity to share with you how much our home has changed. It’s always fun to take a little walk down memory lane, isn’t it? I also want to highlight how so many of the changes we’ve made to our home are incredibly simple, not that costly, and mostly just involve new styling, but I’ll do that in some upcoming posts! Make sure you’re subscribed to my newsletter so you don’t miss them! ;)

How to Decorate Your Porch for Christmas in a Warm Climate

I am beyond thrilled to be teaming up with Balsam Hill to bring you my fresh & festive front porch with Floridian flare (say that ten times fast) this holiday season! Although they’re known for their gorgeous, lifelike Christmas trees, garlands, wreaths, etc., I was still pleasantly surprised to find an absolutely perfect array of outdoor decor for our northeast Florida home! I know I’m not the only Floridian, Southerner or other warm climate dweller who has struggled with what in the world to put on the front porch during Christmastime! I mean, we’ve got palm trees and green grass and somehow those standard faux pine garlands just were NOT cutting it! Prior to this year, my front porch decor was pretty comical. Or sad, depending on my mood. ;) But now, I’m proud to show it off with the help of Balsam Hill’s gorgeous outdoor collection!

Make Room for Conversation on a Small Front Porch

I'm really excited about this series of blog posts in partnership with Christmas Tree Shops andThat! When I was asked to participate in a series of decor-related challenges, I of course said yes. Sometime last year I realized we had an "andThat!" store just down the road from where I worked and have loved perusing through it since the first time I went in. The first challenge is decorating a small space.

Self-Watering Planters and a Stylish Front Porch

Every time we go on vacation or leave for a long weekend, I'm concerned about my plants that are sheltered under the patio or porch, since most of them need to be watered at least every other day. Recently, I discovered these awesome planters through Jackson & Perkins that are designed to hold water in a separate compartment so that the plant can get as much moisture as it needs.

The Cutest One-Piece Swimsuits for Summer

Since the summer season is technically arriving this week, I just had to share some of my favorite swimsuit finds with you! I've linked a ton of cute one-piece swimsuits up at the end of this post.

This "FIRECRACKER" one-piece was just too cute to pass up. It actually made me think of the Fourth of July and is a fun way to be festive without necessarily donning all red, white and blue.

Blue Palms & Pineapples Outdoor Tablescape

It's the most wonderful time for dining and relaxing outdoors here in Florida, so I was super excited to find out that Christmas Tree Shops andThat! has a new selection of outdoor products in the Coastal Living® collection! Have you ever been to a Christmas Tree Shops andThat! store? Let me tell you, it's like eye candy for home decor lovers, and especially coastal home decor lovers! If you haven't, you can just treat this post like your own personal shopping tour, given by yours truly from my patio. ;) Where ever there are links in the text, you can click through to shop the items I'm mentioning.

Custom Outdoor Pillows with Patio Lane

It's Springtime in Florida, which is my favorite time of year for enjoying our patio! So, when I was asked by Patio Lane to try out their Cushion Builder, I knew exactly what I wanted to "build"! From start to finish, the process of designing your own pillows or cushions is really fun and easy! Patio Lane is even offering all of my readers $50 off a purchase of $500 or more when using the coupon code SUMMER until May 30th! There's so much flexibility in what you can create that I took a little time to ponder over the exact shape and fabric I wanted for my new patio pillows. But, you can also create your own bench cushions or boat cushions! There are so many possibilities.

How to Save Money on Outdoor Living!

I hope you're ready to be amazed! I'm totally running  the risk of sounding like an infomercial here, but SERIOUSLY, you're not going to believe some of these price slashes! This is what gets me excited and why I NEVER pay full price for anything, because I know I can get it on sale, if I'm just patient enough. Finally, the time has come to reap the rewards of patience, friends, and I'm so glad you're here to join me! Now, let's start shopping (and saving)!
