About 

I'm Jessica - just a Northern girl living in a Southern world! It has always been a dream of mine to live somewhere warm, near the ocean. That dream came true after leaving my home state of Michigan in 2011. After making a few stops a long the way, I finally moved to Florida in 2014. Soon after, my husband and I bought our first home and I became a pretty avid DIY’er! It also inspired me to share how I was making our Florida house feel like home...on a beach. ;)

We lived there for 5 years until we found our current home on a canal off the intracoastal waterway near Jacksonville Beach. We downsized by over 1,000 square feet and have not missed having unused space one bit! Having our boat in our backyard was our priority and it has been so worth the move!

From months of interior renovations, to a total backyard makeover, I stay busy planning each new project and sharing it with you! I am passionate about helping you turn the home you can afford into the home you LOVE! I hope you enjoy following along on our journey! 

P.S. Our Great Dane x English Mastiff is named Summer, so I get the "chicken or the egg" question pretty often. I named her after what I loved most and it's just that "summer" state of mind (which is also where the name, “House Full of Summer”, comes from). She's a pretty big deal around here (pun intended), so at 170+ pounds she challenges me to create a pretty interior that is also big-dog friendly - and I wouldn’t have it any other way! ;)
