Full Review of Ledge Lounger In-Pool Furniture and Pool Rafts

For any of you following along on Instagram over the past year, you probably saw my stories about our pool design and the whole build process. It’s so exciting to watch it all come to life! We had to wait an extra 30 days after the pool was filled for the plaster to harden before we could add our in-pool furniture to the sun ledge, but the wait was worth it! I received a lot of inquiries about the furniture we chose for our pool during the build process, so I wanted to address all of those questions here in this post!

I ordered all of my in-pool furniture and a pool raft from Ledge Lounger because they are the real OG when it comes to pool furniture! ;) They even have outdoor yard games!

We were already in love with our new pool, but the addition of our Ledge Lounger furniture, our backyard really feels like a resort! There’s nothing more relaxing than laying back on the lounge and enjoying a nice cold beverage on a hot, sunny day.

Now, let’s get into the product options and the criteria and specifications that will help you decide which pool furniture to get, since there are multiple seating selections to choose from. We selected two of the Signature Chaise lounges for ultimate relaxation. I was unsure about feeling too reclined in the chaises and wondered if it would still be comfortable when I wanted to sit up and conversate.

In order to stop the furniture from floating, you just fill them up with water through a holes on the under side that have screw caps.

For added comfort, I recommend getting the Signature Headrest Pillow that slides snuggly over the back of the chair or chaise. I chose gray because…well, you know me and my love for neutrals. ;)

A friend of mine ordered the Signature Chairs and I love how those sit upright too. However, once I realized Ledge Lounger actually makes Risers for the chaises, I knew they would be the perfect solution to the “in between” reclining angle that I was looking for!

They are super easy to put together and require zero tools to do so. You simply attach the four pieces and then set the lounge on top of it. It is sturdy and easily removable. What an awesome idea, right?

I also ordered this 22” Side Table with a removable lid for ice storage. It’s a tad tall for the chaises that I got, but you can also order the shorter table which doesn’t have the ice chest space. It would work perfectly with the Signature Chaise Deep and the Signature Chair. The side table and lid has a pre-made hole to fit an umbrella. So, even if you don’t have an umbrella hole in your pool ledge, you should still be able to use one with this table, although having the hole in the ledge will make the umbrella sturdier.

If you peruse the Ledge Lounger site, you’ll notice that there are two heights for the in-pool furniture to accommodate different ledge depths. This is a really popular topic amongst home owners while designing their pools. How deep do you want your ledge? That’s all up to your personal preference and the good news is that no matter what you decide, you’ll find the perfect chair or chaise to relax!

Here’s a chart to make things easier for you:

Water Depth for Chaises:
Up to 9” - Signature Chaise
9” - 12” - Signature Chaise with Riser or Signature Chaise Deep
10”- 15” - Signature Chaise Deep
15” - 20” - Signature Chaise Deep with Riser

Water Depth for Chairs:
Up to 9” - Signature Chair or Signature Lowback Chair
10” - 20” - Signature Chair with Riser or Signature Lowback Chair with Riser

There’s a typical range of ledge water depth from about 6”-18”. Keep in mind that if you want your water depth to be 8 inches, your ledge depth is going to be around 12”. The Signature Chaise Deep with an added Riser works in up to 20” of water, for even the deepest ledge!
Tip: If you’re going to be creating a ledge any deeper than 12”, I recommend consulting your pool builder about a step to get down to the ledge.

Lastly, I am loving this Laze Pillow raft! To go along with the gray head rest pillows, it’s no surprise that I ordered this greige shibori pattern. ;) I can tell you that it is quite durable! At our last pool party we had several kids doing backflips and jumps onto and it having a great time. It still looks brand new! Our rescue dog, Sasha, even thinks it is her personal outdoor bed. ;) We leave it out of the water for her when not in use because she loves to nap on it.

The other thing I love about the Laze Pillow is that if it’s in your pool, it holds enough water to make it heavy enough that it won’t blow away in a fast approaching afternoon shower. In Florida, we get frequent rain showers during the summer months and it’s such a relief to not have to run out and pull in the raft to prevent it from blowing away!
