How to Create an Elegant Coastal Christmas Scene

This post is in partnership with Christmas Tree Shops andThat! As always, all opinions are my own. Thank you for supporting brands that support House Full of Summer!

I decided to transform my bar cart into an elegant coastal Christmas scene for the holidays this year! My white cane bar cart sits in the corner of our dining room and it needed a little pizzazz. After seeing how the sunlight reflected off of all the glitter, I think it was the perfect place for it. My local Christmas Tree Shops andThat! store had a bunch of really cute coastal options for Christmas decorating. Shopping there is like going on a fun treasure hunt! I snapped a bunch of photos of the in-store selections that you can view in the carousel below:

Sticking with my favorite color scheme of neutrals and metals, I grabbed several of these cute (and very affordable) metal wire brush trees in gold and silver. A couple of larger cone trees helped to vary the height of everything on the cart. When styling a table top, it’s best to add items of different heights since it allows for layering smaller objects in front of the larger ones.

Garlands of every kind are all the rage this year! I found silver and gold braided garlands, silver glittery beaded garlands and a shell garland to add some coastal flair. Draping them in an alternating, overlapping manner is a great way to add interest and elegance.

Keeping with the coastal theme is this pretty angel with a fishing net and sea shells in her hands. She would make a great Christmas tree topper! (In fact, I think that’s actually her purpose. But she’ll do just fine on my cart, too. ;))

Another coastal cutie is this little “sandman” snowman in a snow globe with white rope detail. These items make such great gifts for any beach lover.

A few white and gold faux poinsettias fill out the bottom of the cart.

As the sun sets through our dining room window, the glow is really beautiful! Let me know what you find this season at your local andThat! store!

Sending Sunshine,

Jessica
