How I’m Getting Cozy This Season for Under $150

This post is in partnership with Christmas Tree Shops andThat! As always, all opinions are my own. Thank you for supporting brands that support House Full of Summer!

Over the past several weeks, I’ve been blogging about all of my fun finds at my local andThat! store as part of a fun shopping challenge! This is my 4th challenge to make all of the things cozy this fall for just under $150! My favorite thing about andThat! is that it won’t break the bank. You can walk out of that store with a cart full of goodies and feel great about the value you’re getting!

This might be my favorite challenge yet, because “coziness” comes in all shapes and forms, doesn’t it? Perhaps “cozy” is also in the eye of the beholder, so I’ll just show you what cozy looks like to me! ;)

Last year, we had A LOT of people in our house for the holidays, which meant we were a little stretched for cozy blankets and bedding. We happened to have a few really cold spells as well at exactly the same the time that we noticed our furnace wasn’t working! Eek! Yes, it was actually COLD in northeast Florida. The dog’s water dish completely froze outside for several days in a row and many plants were severely damaged or killed. So, the point of my story is that I really needed some more warm blankets! We may not need them often, but when you do need them, you better have them!

There were so many great throws and blankets to choose from in the store. And lots of cute decor and furniture, too!

I found this huge bin of the softest throws and blankets in all different colors and sizes! I’m not kidding when I say they’re the softest blankets I’ve ever felt! I grabbed a few in King size and also a throw to cuddle up with on the couch. This Taupe Warm Whisper Soft King sized throw had a really great price point in the store and is also available online.

Each bed in our house is getting a super soft and cozy Whisper Soft blanket to layer with the light bedding this fall and winter. I’m not a fan of really heavy blankets on my legs, so these are perfect because they’re still very light feeling. For now, I layered mine underneath the quilts because they are so soft to pull up around your face while you’re snuggling up in bed. As we approach the holidays, I might just use them as top layers because I like the “furry” texture.

You seriously need to feel these…if only you could reach through the screen…:D Better yet, go find a store near you and try them out! If you don’t have a store near you, you can still shop online! I saw these marble throw blankets in gray and pink and thought they would be perfect for a girl’s bedroom too!

It’s fall, ya’ll and that means we all get a pass at being basic, right? I couldn’t resist getting a couple soft and lightweight shirts when I saw them in the store!! I have to admit that this gray shirt will be on repeat every weekend for the upcoming months, including this darling coffee mug!

If you're loving fall themed mugs, check out this set I posted recently in my Pumpkin Spice Coffee Station post!

Guess what else…Summer’s fur sort of blends right in, so we don’t have to sacrifice our cuddles. ;) ha! She’s happy about that, too.

Okay, when I say “pumpkin spice everything”, I mean pumpkin spice EVERYTHING! I even grabbed a bag of pumpkin spice popcorn! Seriously feeling all the basic fall vibes over here and I’m loving it!

I think Summer took my popcorn tricks as a personal invite to catch some herself. She had to join in on the fun. You knew there was no way she was staying out of these photos. ;)

Summer just can’t take her eyes off that pumpkin spice popcorn…check out that side-eye!

Now, is this not the perfect shirt for lounging around for Thanksgiving? I don’t know about you, but I definitely change into something more comfy after dinner and this will definitely be packed in my bag when we head up north to see family this year.

Let’s not forget about the unseen things that make fall one of the coziest seasons! Scents! I saw some cinnamon broomsticks for the best price ever. I’ll tell you my trick for keeping a cozy scented home: Stash a broomstick away in your trash closet, pantry, under the sink, in your linen closets, bathrooms, etc.! I’ve had visitors comment on the fact that even our trash closet smells good! :) Now you know one of my tricks.

Lastly, our days get shorter with the shifting of the seasons and the ending of Daylight Saving Time. Although I like longer days, I make the most of the darker evenings by finding ways to add more lighting throughout my home. For under $10 I got this beautiful little battery-operated candle and capiz holder with gold trim! I have the timer set so that it’s on when we get home from work. It really creates an inviting glow in our foyer and definitely has me feeling cozy.

If you haven’t been to an andThat! store, you’re missing out!! I had a ton of fun with these challenges and really could have spent all day in the store shopping! If you have questions, please ask away in the comments below, or feel free to shoot me an email. ;)

I hope you’re feeling extra cozy and ready for fall!

Sending Sunshine,

Jessica
