A Charming Southern Christmas Home Tour {Part 1}

This year will be my fifth Christmas spent living in Florida and my oh my how my style has changed! Granted, the first year we lived in a rental home by the beach and I used my fairly ugly and cheap Christmas tree along with any and all colored ornaments I already owned. And it was still a lovely Christmas. The last few years my husband and I have been in our first home together and with each season I am able to collect a little more Christmas decor. This year I have 4 Christmas trees, several wreaths, a gazillion ornaments and gorgeous new outdoor decorations! My point is that no matter what stage you are in, your Christmas can still be lovely and magical. Throughout my home tour, I’ll point out the varying prices of different items I’ve collected over the years. Some may be in your budget this year and some may not. That’s perfectly okay! Because no Christmas dream ever started out with “I hope I can go into debt this year to achieve the magazine look I want!” LOL right!? Now that we’re clear on that, I hope you will find inspiration in my evolving decor!

Pin for Later!

Last year’s Christmas was light, bright and airy. This year, with the help of The Jolly Christmas Shop, I added in deeper neutral tones and more rich golds. Check out Southern Glam Christmas Decor to see all the details!

I added some fresh greenery to a vase on my foyer console and used a couple of the same gold magnolia picks I used in my tree so that it would tie into the living room Christmas tree decor.

Here is the view from the corner of the dining room that connects to the back side of the kitchen.

And my sweet, plump little King of Christmas tree actually fit quite well in this corner of the dining room after just removing the table leaf. We hardly sit here anyway. Anyone else willing to admit they don’t eat at the table either? ;)

This tree is actually not that “little’. It’s 7.5 ft but I gave it some height by resting it on an overturned basket and putting a throw over the stand to hide it.

Moving into the living room, the theme is a bit more neutral with gold accents.

My tassel took a trip. I used to have a tassel hanging on each lamp in the foyer but moved them around for a new look.

When your earrings match your Christmas ornaments…

Here’s my secret: I ordered the tassels online and attached them to looped pearl earrings and also used hooks to hang them on the tree as ornaments.

Another pine trimming with connected pine cones made it’s way to a vase on the living room side table accompanied by a gold spray. How easy is that?

I found some cute little bottle trees in the dollar spot at Target last year and I know they have some this year, as well. The ribbon I picked up from Michael’s and it kind of reminds me of leopard print. The color and sparkle is so pretty!

I found the glitzy lumbar pillow at HomeGoods for $24.99 which is probably the most I’ve ever spent on a decorative pillow. The other two pillows came from HomeGoods at least two years ago.

That lovely garland you see hanging down over the front door windows is absolutely beautiful! I blogged all about it in my recent post, How to Decorate Your Porch for Christmas in a Warm Climate.

This post is just Part 1 of my Christmas Home Tours, so stay tuned for the second half where I’ll be sharing my bedroom and family room with you!

Below, you’ll find the other bloggers who have shared their gorgeous homes decorated for Christmas! I really love each of their unique styles, so make sure to check them all out!
